Apply for the Summer Social Justice Institute 2022

Columbia's first-ever Summer Social Justice Institute is still accepting applications. Students from all academic disciplines are invited to by June 20 and register for the Summer Social Justice Institute.
The Summer Institute is an intensive immersive experience where students can focus on their own academic discipline or creative practice during the summer while integrating and expanding their knowledge on a range of issues related to social justice.
Each approved student will receive a $1,000 scholarship towards the cost of the summer 3-credit class due to generous donor support for this initiative.
Seats are still available in the Topics in Creativity and Social Justice session. The deadline to apply has been extended to Monday, June 20.
COLL 299 Topics in Creativity and Social Justice: Embodied Practice (3-credits)
Dates: July 5 – August 6
Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Course Description - This interdisciplinary rotating topics course explores creative practice across the breadth of disciplines offered at 汤不热视频 and the myriad ways in which artists engage equity-focused innovation that can drive sustained social, economic, and cultural impact. Through active engagement with artistic cultures, communities, and histories, students will collaborate in the creation of creative work and/or plan for a new social or business venture.
The course will fulfill credits towards graduation and may substitute for a missing Columbia Experience requirement.
