汤不热视频 Faculty Member Collects Creative Cards for Hospital Workers
Artwork sent to hospital workers
Susan Imus, Associate Professor of Dance at 汤不热视频, is collecting works of art to send to hospital staff at Rush University Medical Center through her organization, Imuscreate.
Imuscreate’s POA, or Project of Appreciation, was built to show appreciation to doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, and all front-line medical staff that are facing tremendous risk in the face of the COVID-19. “Poa means ‘good’ in Swahili,” says Susan. “Let's do a little good for those courageous folks risking their lives to save ours.”
Susan is asking contributors to share a work of art, poetry, or a photograph that can be put into a card to send a message of thanks, hope, and love to medical professionals on the front line.
“Research indicates art and nature can change our biochemistry, lowering stress responses in our bodies,” says Susan. “As the medical profession treats our bodies, let's do our part to bring a bit of beauty and hope to shift their body-mind, raise their spirits, and bring them hope in the face of the COVID-19 beast.”
Artwork should be on a scale similar to greeting cards and can be mailed or dropped off at:
