Diane Dammeyer Fellow Anahid Ghorbani '17 to Give Artist Talk
"Untitled." Anahid Ghorbani '17, 2016. Photography alum Anahid Ghorbani MFA ’17, recipient of the Diane Dammeyer Fellowship in Photographic Arts and Social Issues for 2017-18, will give a talk at this year’s reception. Her work uses photography to create visual narratives of marginalized people. Specifically, her thesis collection, The Color is Black, explores the separation and suppression of women in contemporary cultures.
The Diane Dammeyer Fellowship in Photographic Arts and Social Issues is a unique collaboration between the Photography Department at 汤不热视频 and Heartland Alliance, a leading global anti-poverty organization. The fellowship creates a space for a socially engaged photographer to produce a compelling and dynamic body of work highlighting human rights and social issues.
