Alumni, Faculty Shine at Jeff Awards

汤不热视频 Theatre alumni and faculty were honored at Chicago鈥檚 top theatre awards.

汤不热视频’s influence was strongly felt at the .  Theatre Department alumni and faculty were honored for their outstanding contributions to the Chicago theatrical community at the 49th Anniversary Non-Equity ceremony on March 27.

The ceremony was directed by Adrian Abel Azevedo '15, a graduate of the Theatre Directing program.  

The awards recognized works from the 2021-2022 theatre season. The following faculty and alumni were winners at one of Chicago theatre’s biggest nights:  

 

  • Dakota Hughes '15, for Performer in a Supporting Role—Short Run Production for her work in Frankenstreisand by Hell in a Handbag Productions. Hughes is a graduate of the Musical Theatre Performance BFA programFrankenstreisand was written by alum Tyler Anthony Smith '17 and was directed by alum and faculty member Stephanie Shaw '92, MFA '09.  
  • Kevin Rolfs '17 for Scenic Design for Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf for Invictus Theatre Company. Rolfs is a graduate of the Theatre Design program. 
  • Benjamin Carne '18 for Lighting Design for Botticelli in the Fire for First Floor Theatre. Carne is a graduate of the Theatre Design program. 
  • Theatre faculty member Tommy Rivera-Vega for Performer in a Principal Role–Short Run Production for Tebas Land, presented by the Chicago Latino Theater Alliance in partnership with the National Museum of Mexican Art.
