The Getz Theatre Center marquee lights up the South Loop at night, welcoming audiences to ÌÀ²»ÈÈÊÓÆµâ€™s upcoming season.The curtains are rising on an exciting new year of performance at ÌÀ²»ÈÈÊÓÆµ’s School of Theatre and Dance, as the 2025–26 season takes the stage at the Getz Theatre Center. This year’s lineup showcases the creativity, collaboration, and bold storytelling that define Columbia’s theatre community.
The season features five diverse productions that span comedy, classic adaptation, devised theatre, and contemporary musical performance:
2025–26 Season Lineup
A modern retelling of the Greek myth exploring cycles of revenge, resistance, and renewal.
October 22 – November 1, 2025
The iconic 1950s-era musical co-created by Jim Jacobs HDR ’14 that defined a generation with its rock-and-roll soundtrack and high school coming-of-age story.
November 13 – 22, 2025
An original devised work created by students and faculty examining creativity, fear, and transformation.
March 11 – 21, 2026
A Tony Award–winning musical adaptation of Alison Bechdel’s graphic memoir that examines family, identity, and self-discovery.
April 30 – May 9, 2026
“Each production this season reflects the School of Theatre and Dance’s goal to create work that is artistically ambitious and deeply personal,” says Jimmy Noriega, PhD, director of the School of Theatre and Dance. “Our upcoming season gives our students real-world experience while fostering collaboration across all theatre disciplines. We look forward to welcoming audiences into our spaces to experience the work and talent of our students”
